Smart customer service and customer guidance in the city of Tampere will be showcased through the following examples:

Service robot Pepper /Tampere University of Technology
Postdoctoral researcher Kirsikka Kaipainen will be telling us about the research study on user experiences of social robots assisting in customer service. Pepper, the humanoid robot, has been helping customers for a few days at Frenckell Service Point. How did the customers perceive the robot in this situation? Chatbot technology / Osaamisbotti Oy
Osaamisbotti Oy has developed chatbot technology pilots in co-operation with City of Tampere. Chatbots have been used in employment services, Frenckell Service Point and in advising students. What kind of interaction can be expected from a chatbot?

Indoor navigation / Marko Luomi, HERE
How can location technology help us provide better customer service? Marko Luomi will present some cases and also bring insight into the future potential.

Kotitori and Laitetori / Aila Suoanttila
Laitetori is a Wellbeing Technology Service Point where customers can try out and loan devices, and where they can receive help and advice about the latest wellbeing technology.  What kind of support do elderly people need in the digitalised world? We will also meet Zora, the assisting robot.

The speeches will run in both English and Finnish:
