Alongside Smart Tampere, eight Finnish companies will participate in the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona on 19-21 November. The aim is to present the smart city development in Tampere through concrete projects by the companies. At the same time, the expo offers an excellent opportunity for identifying opportunities for international collaboration, benchmarking, and identifying the latest smart city trends.
The Smart City Expo World Congress is the world’s leading annual event for smart city developers. This year the fair is expected to attract more than 25,000 visitors and more than 1,000 exhibitors from more than 140 countries. Smart Tampere is participating in the expo to strengthen Tampere’s reputation as a bold pioneer in smart city development.
As in 2018, Tampere enables Finnish companies to join the expo.
We want to present the development and results in Tampere through concrete cooperation projects. At the same time, companies will have the opportunity to seek international leads, thus contributing to the scalability of solutions, says Seppo Haataja, Director of Smart Tampere Ecosystems Program at Business Tampere.
Eight companies showcase their smart city solutions
The smart development of Tampere is driven by the companies involved. Also, any of these companies has not previously participated the Smart City Expo World Congress with Smart Tampere. The companies which will be joining Smart Tampere at the Smart City World Expo are:
Cation Oy / eChargie
Even internationally, eChargie is a unique solution for charging electric vehicles. “Anyone can sell electricity to anyone” from their own wall outlet. Buyers can easily find charging points using the mobile app and can pay for the download over the phone.
Demola Global
Demola is an award-winning international innovation challenge platform operating in 17 countries. The platform serves as a concrete tool to strengthen the vitality of business ecosystems in cities and regional administrations, by bringing leading brands and university students together.
Jalonne Oy
Jalonne RoadData is based on crowdsourced phones that are attached to cars. Phones collect road data and images, which are automatically stored in the cloud. The system analyzes the collected data and generates information about the road conditions.
Metosin Oy and Loopshore
From software development to consulting and training, Metosin offers the kinds of services that help our clients solve their problems. Loopshore develops high technology that serves people’s and takes the environment into account. The aim is to do meaningful and interesting things for the common good. Metosin and Loopshore joined forces to implement Jabster, a project on smart and green buildings.
Multi Agent Technology Oy
Multi Agent Technology Oy offers innovative artificial intelligence solutions for real-time scheduling and optimization, in the context of intelligent transportation, buildings, and supplier networks. The benefits of a custom artificial intelligence solution include improved reactivity, flexibility, efficiency, scalability, performance and reliability.
Utelias Oy / Elias Robot
Elias Robot is an innovative language learning application that fundamentally changes the way we learn. Elias’s voice interface gives students the opportunity to learn languages by engaging in conversations with human-like robots and smartphones. The Elias robot was developed by teachers and uses a method based on scientific research.
Vinka Oy
Vinka’s Total Transport software platform is capable of managing any on-demand and last-mile operations. The platform combines different services, enabling a more efficient and completely new delivery of transport services. Vinkka has the advantage of an experienced team of founders with over 100 years of experience and understanding of market leading products.
