The City of Tampere aspires to be an enabler for growth and development. We bring forward the city’s needs and challenges to be jointly solved by residents, companies and other involved parties. We provide various test platforms for developing new smart city products and services.
Tampere has opened up its data for free use. Open data and interfaces can be used freely to create various mobile applications, enrich online services or conduct studies, for example.
We invite companies and research institutions to use the platforms we offer for testing and developing new solutions.
Our technology platforms, for example, enable testing and creating pioneering solutions that utilise a specific technology. The platforms can also be physical operational environments, however, such as new city districts in which sustainable and smart solutions facilitate residents’ everyday lives.
